Chicken pocket recipe

Two crescent roll tins
1 package cream cheese
1 can cooked chicken (I use costco brand)
Salt
Italian bread crumbs (optional, but very tasty)

Set oven to 350•
Mix chicken, cream cheese and salt in a bowl. Lay out the crescent rolls flat and put a spoonful of the chicken mixture on each roll. Fold and pinch the edges so that the mixture is no longer exposed. Roll the top in the bread crumbs. Put on cookie sheet and cook until golden brown.

We bought furniture together, it's getting pretty serious

We went to a "Going Out of Business" sale and got a couch and love seat set with "baseball" stitching. We love the red color. Now everyone can visit and have a place to sit! You can even recline in all the edge seats!

In favor of Marie making the purchase off an Xbox 360

Reason
#1 family unity
#2 as a use of a DVD player/Netflix movie watcher
#3 it helps improve hand eye coordination( which nurses need good hand eye coordination)
#4 playing halo on Friday night is much cheaper than going on dates to broadway every Friday night
#5 Xbox 360 has bomberman Nuffield said
#6 it will help aleviate stress
#7 meet new friends
#8 the kinnect system can be used like a gym
#9 you can use It wirelessly from across the room
#10 it can be used as a juke box

Only negative is you have to choose between white or black

Jethro

My dog is pretty funny. He's part cat and part coyote. Because he doesn't care that much about peeing outside, he just goes wherever he darn well pleases. I don't think he's peed on his feet, but sometimes he pees on the carpet when I pet him. I don't recall ever wiping his feet. Sometimes he lays down on my keyboard when I'm trying to type or chases the moving cursor on the screen. He also growls at reflections on my bedroom wall and tries to capture them with his tiny cat paws. I love him.

Dorian

My dog is pretty funny. Because we no longer have out own backyard, Dorian has to wait inside all day then be taken out on a leash. So the other day I came home after being gone a few hours and he has to pee sooooooo bad, I put on his leash and we are "walking" down the steps and he just can't hold it any more, he running and peeing at the same time. Funnier thing is that he was peeing on his own feet while walking and trying to squat at the same time. What is not funny is that I had to wipe off his feet before I let him back inside....

Life is pretty nice in Sacramento :)

So it is close to a month since Mark and I have moved in and it has been pretty exciting. I love having my own kitchen, even though Christine was right and I really didn't know how many dishes only two people could possibly make! I was nervous about driving in Sacramento because I haven't really driven outside solano county... Haha. But I picked up our neighborhood fairly quickly (I have even given Mark directions!)
Our ward is nice, it has been described as a "newlywed and nearly dead" ward though. And it seems that everyone our age has children. Mark and I were excited the second Sunday to sit next to the newest couple in the ward who invited us over for games and dessert. I though"wow this is going to be great! She is my age and has no children!" But when we were there and having visited for a while the subject of children came up, and apparently she is about 2 months pregnant.... Darn.
I got Mark this cool iPad2 and mark found this app that allowed us to have the "Martineau Family Blog" on the home screen :) so we should have no excuse for not keeping up!

Subbing

I heard Essi mention to Mom that we should start the blog again.

I'll start....

My life is okay. I am still working on cleaning up Matthew's room and moving stuff upstairs. I painted upstairs and redid some of the bathroom. I'm loving it!!! I gave Brutus and Jethro baths this week, which definitely did not earn me any canine friendship points, but they look much better. Yesterday I finally applied for my 30-day emergency substitute teaching permit. The 30-day part means that I can only teach for one single teacher for a maximum of 30 days (20 for special ed) in a school year, but technically I could work every single day of the school year as long as it is for different teachers. I said I would work at elementary schools and also at "young mothers". I'm secretly hoping for the young mothers.

I've been working out every morning with Nancy Duley at Solano Athletic Club. It is going okay. I haven't lost one single pound, but I feel healthier.

Hope everyone else is doing well!! Can't wait for other people to post.
